November 16th, 2020
The 4th annual CREA Charrette is an intensive, interdisciplinary team learning experience. Each year CREA works with industry to identify realistic business problems. This year CREA has partnered with CESIM, a leading education technology company that develops a broad portfolio of experiential learning business simulations. Full details of the fashion retail simulation will be revealed to teams at the start of the charrette. Teams will be challenged with a series of competitive business decision-making scenarios that need to be completed within a specified time limit. CESIM has kindly sponsored the event providing students with access to their business simulation platform for the duration of the charrette. This year's charrette will be held virtually during Retail Week at Ryerson University's Ted Rogers School of Retail Management on Monday, November 16th, 2020.
After student teams are formed and introduced to the business problem, they will be provided with an overview of business simulations and the CESIM platform. Following a break for lunch, student teams will engage in an intensive business simulation throughout the afternoon. At the end of the afternoon CREA judges will provide feedback to the student teams and award prizes.
There will be several competing teams with interdisciplinary backgrounds composed of 4-6 students from different institutions/programs.
Registration for this year's event is $10 Cdn per student. All student participants will receive a complementary one-year CREA Student Membership. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams!!!
All student participants will receive a certificate. Participating students and attending instructors/faculty members must register online no later than October 30th, 2020. (to register click the REGISTER HERE button below). Students can individually register for the charrette or instructors/faculty members can register a group of students.
