Where it began
Dr. Frances Gunn founded CREA in 2017, with the inaugural meeting taking place at the Retail Council of Canada's annual STORE HR conference. At this time, retail educators from across Canada gathered together to begin to build a community of practice focused on the development and professionalization of retail and industry-associated careers through post-secondary education and research.
